Do I need to take my child to the dentist?
Dr. Michael J. Groover suggests that you bring your child to our office for their first visit after their first tooth erupts. We will then review proper methods for cleaning your child’s teeth. Your child’s first “regular” dental visit, with a simple exam and cleaning, should take place just after your child’s third birthday. This visit will include a check for cavities and other dental problems, a gentle teeth cleaning, and often a topical fluoride treatment. Our team will again review with you how to care for your child’s smile at home and recommend ways to help your child build good dental hygiene habits.
